Looking at cars as architecture
I’m not a “car guy”. I couldn’t tell you the difference between a Duesenberg and an Allard (unless I looked at the nameplate!) I don’t care about horsepower, racing records, matching numbers, or any of the other myriad details that car buffs like to discuss.
I am, however, a fan of architecture and sculpture. I’m also rather fond of abstract art (in all its forms.) One day I asked myself: what would a car look like, if I treated it as abstract art?
The result is this series of photos, made over several years at various car shows in my state.
(If you like these pictures, I have many more which I’ll be adding to the gallery over the next few months. Please check back occasionally for updates — better yet, sign up for email updates and I’ll let you know when I upload more!)
